GiVEN was born from a personal quest. After graduating from Oxford University, founder Bean discovered a passion for outdoor sports that led to an unexpected career in television and eventually to running a successful health practice in London.
For a decade, she designed nutrition and wellness plans, coaching hundreds of tired and stressed individuals back to vibrant health.
Working closely with clients deepened Bean's understanding of the body's natural healing abilities.
However, it was her own active lifestyle—surfing, rock climbing, motorbiking, and skiing—that highlighted a crucial gap in the skincare market.
Despite her extensive knowledge of nutrition and wellness, she couldn't find skincare products that met her high standards for both performance and natural ingredients.
This realization sparked years of dedicated research and experimentation.
Starting in her kitchen, Bean immersed herself in the science of skincare formulation, studying everything from the properties of organic ingredients to the nature of water delivery systems and the complex relationship between sun exposure and skin health.
She consulted with chemists, herbalists, organic farmers, and doctors, constantly refining her formulas through countless iterations.
